Minors on a Mission (MOM), a dynamic and compassionate group that is part of the larger organization, Youth Impacting Society (YIS), dedicated to creating a brighter future for the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area. Our mission is simple yet profound: We're here to do good in our community, find ways to make the world a better place, and, in the process, grow and better ourselves.
Our Focus:
At MOM, our primary focus is on action. We believe that the power to effect change lies within each one of us, regardless of age. With over three decades of dedicated service, she has left an indelible mark on various organizations and initiatives. LaToyia's commitment to making a difference is evident in her impressive track record of leadership and her deep love for the youth in her community.
LaToyia's most recent role as the driving force behind a program she runs underscores her dedication to fostering positive change among young individuals. Her dynamic leadership has been instrumental in creating opportunities for the youth, shaping them into responsible and engaged citizens.
Beyond her impactful work in the nonprofit sector, LaToyia is a dynamic entrepreneur, co-running a successful catering company and event planning business. Her culinary prowess extends beyond business, as she finds joy in experimenting with casseroles. To her, casseroles represent the perfect canvas for culinary creativity, often inspired by
spur-of-the-moment ideas. With a penchant for infusing her dishes with her two favorite seasonings, onion and garlic, LaToyia has become renowned for her delectable cakes, boasting an impressive repertoire of 27 distinct cake flavors that she has perfected over the years.
LaToyia's culinary talents are not just limited to her personal enjoyment; they extend to her love for teaching children how to cook. She takes pride in passing down the art of cooking, nurturing young talents, and inspiring a lifelong love for culinary creativity.
